ServeBoard Partner API

Connect your product — table ordering, online ordering, delivery, anything that takes orders — to a ServeBoard store. Read the menu, send orders, and the store's kitchen printer and TV boards do the rest.

1. Get an API key

The store owner creates a key for you in their ServeBoard dashboard: Settings → API Keys → New key. The key looks like:

One key = one partner. The store owner can turn your key off at any time.

2. Authentication

Send the key on every request as a Bearer token:

Authorization: Bearer sbp_YOUR_KEY

3. Read the menu

Returns the store's live menu — names, prices (in cents), photos, and sold-out flags. The key already knows which store it belongs to; there is nothing else to pass.

4. Send an order

What happens next, automatically:

The response includes id and orderNumber — keep the id to check status.

5. Check an order

Status moves through: new → in_progress → ready → called → completed.

Good to know

• All prices are integer cents. $18.99 = 1899.

• Your key only sees its own store. There is no cross-store access.

• Keys can be turned off by the store owner at any time — handle 401 gracefully.

• Webhooks (we call you when an order changes) are coming next. Ask us if you need them early.
