TV Setup Guide

Put your board on any TV in about 2 minutes. No cables to your computer, no accounts on the TV — just a web address and your phone.

What you need: a TV with an internet browser (most smart TVs have one) — or an Amazon Fire TV Stick — and your phone.

Option 1 · Works on any smart TV

Use the TV's browser

The fastest way to get started. Nothing to install.

Open the TV's internet browser

Using the TV remote, find the browser app on the TV's home screen.

Samsung: "Internet" · LG: "Web Browser" · Fire TV: "Silk Browser"

Type this address

A 6-letter code appears on the TV

Leave the TV on this screen.

Scan the QR code with your phone

Point your phone camera at the QR code on the TV and tap the link — or type the short address shown under the code into your phone's browser.

Sign in and pick a board

On your phone, sign in with your ServeBoard email and choose which board this TV should show.

Done — the TV switches by itself

The TV jumps to your board and remembers it. Next time, just open the TV's browser — it goes straight to your board.

Option 2 · For Amazon Fire TV

Install the ServeBoard TV app

Best for a permanent setup: fills the whole screen, no address bar, and staff can't close it by accident.

Install the free "Downloader" app

On your Fire TV, search for Downloader in the app store and install it. It's a well-known free app for getting apps onto a Fire TV.

Open Downloader and type this address

Install and open

When the download finishes, press Install, then Open. If the TV asks for permission to install, allow it for Downloader.

Pair with your phone

The app shows the same 6-letter code as Option 1. Scan it with your phone, sign in, and pick a board — exactly the same steps.

From now on the app opens straight to your board, full screen.

Good to know

Keep the screen on In the TV's settings, turn the sleep timer off so the board stays on all day. The board itself never goes dark — it always shows your name, logo, and the latest number.

Moving the TV to a different board or store? Open serveboard.app/tv?reset in the TV's browser to start fresh with a new code.

Nothing to update Menus, numbers, and designs update on the TV by themselves. After setup you never need to touch the TV again.
